A website redesign focused on differentiating the purchasing options and offering a more “customized experience” to the user while also creating a new client’s database.

๐ฏ What’s the goal?
Casa da Suite is a short-rent company based on Milan, Italy that owns a decent-sized portfolio of structures in the area. This portfolio is not only formed by apartments, but also by small hotels, villes, complexes and other structures.
When asked to redesign the website of the company, a key objective stands out: Give the customer a clear understanding of what the company offers and let it choose the perfect destination it was looking for.
With this objective in mind:
- The company can separate its data coming from customers, developing a new database that will contribute to future marketing campaigns and give a new understanding of the main user type.
- Customers can filter and choose the structure that better fits its goal, depending wether they need one structure type or the other.
- The company adopts a new customer-first way of thinking, keeping always an eye on the financial needs.

๐ฃ๏ธ LET’S TALK DESIGN
With this goal in mind, the graphic part of the website design had to be defined as: simple, clean and easy-to-use.
The design doesn’t involve fancy colours or fonts. In fact, the use of white space has been a key feature to give more importance to the structures themselves: from their images (to “catch” the customer) to the information provided, always structured to be read as fast and clear as possible.

๐ข different structures, one place
As mentioned earlier, Casa da Suite offers a wide range of structures in Milanโs mainland and surroundings. This created one problem that the company has been facing for a long time: they offer drastically different options to the same customer.
The new website has been created focusing on the clasification and differentiation of structures, with the goal of majorly improving the client’s understanding of the company.

๐ THE NEW BOOKING ENGINE
The new booking engine takes the already mentioned idea of differentiation and adds the major needed feature of filtering.
With this new booking engine, the customer now can filter as much as it wants to obtain the exact result it was looking for.
This also targets another problem the company faces: the lack of initial information the customer recieves; which affects on its final satisfaction and eventually reflects on the company’s public opinion.

๐ง FINAL THOUGHTS
The lack of an user-approach eventually gave the initial website a low value from a customer perspective. It could not keep up with the competitors and, having platforms such as AirBnB and Booking on the side made the situation even worse.
By putting the customer first, Casa da Suite has now a different path to follow, putting more importance on each step of the customer journey while also developing a new database that can, and will, help future marketing campaigns and offer new data that the company didn’t know about.
